¹⁸ Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

¹⁹ He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

²⁹ For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

³⁰ They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

⁹ That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:

²⁴ Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
