5 These going before tarried for us at Troas.
1 And it came to pass, that after we were gotten from them, and had launched, we came with a straight course unto Coos, and the day following unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara:
5 And when we had accomplished those days, we departed and went our way; and they all brought us on our way, with wives and children, till we were out of the city: and we kneeled down down on the shore, and prayed.
1 And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one named Julius, a centurion of Augustus' band.
6 And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing into Italy; and he put us therein. therein.
7 And when we had sailed slowly slowly many days, and scarce were come over against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under Crete, over against Salmone;
2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
7 In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.
11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.
37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
11 And when he was come unto us, us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
17 And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.
20 And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.
26 Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island.
10 Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will will yet deliver us;
11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once once and again; but Satan hindered us.
7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
