not

poor

10 And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
12 Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.
4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we we that we say not, ye should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,
16 If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.
16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw draw you before the judgment seats?
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. alone.
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
17 Because thou sayest, sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
