2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

33 And he called it Shebah: therefore the name of the city is Beer-sheba unto this day.
36 And he said, Is not he rightly named named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?

35 And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.

13 And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher.
18 And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.

11 And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous famous in Beth-lehem:
14 And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.
17 And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
20 Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.
