20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
19 Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me.
23 And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.
25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, temperance, and judgment to come, come, Felix trembled, trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
17 I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
23 But now having no more place in these these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;
7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;
17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
31 I protest by your rejoicing rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. daily.
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
15 Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly, abundantly,
14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far far better:
17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not not to speak any thing.
9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures pleasures of sin for a season;
14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
4 I have no greater greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
