21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
5 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.
1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
6 He answered and said unto them, them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
2 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.
1 Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.
9 Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.
5 And they were the more fierce, saying, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.
15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
21 Now when all the people were baptized, baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
13 But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.
47 And he taught taught daily daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
45 Then in the audience of all the people he said unto his disciples,
23 But woe unto them that are with child, child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.
35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in in deed and word before God and all the people:
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
14 Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.
1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; people; and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
25 Then came one and told them, saying, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;
17 But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
39 But Paul said, I am am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.
40 And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,
17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
