9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.
6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.
9 And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.
13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
39 But Paul said, I am am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.
28 And the chief captain answered, With a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free born.
14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
27 But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
4 God forbid: forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? I speak as a man
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? that is, to bring Christ down from above:
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, one, even by our father Isaac;
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
18 But as God is true, true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
7 Now I pray to God that ye do do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
16 But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.
19 And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:
13 But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
19 Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made made the head of the corner,
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
